Cape Tribulation is where the Daintree
rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef and near this accommodation
there is a wide variety of tours and opportunities to explore this
very special part of our planet and therefore a stay of at least
two or three nights is recommended.
Activities near this Cape Tribulation accommodation include; snorkeling
the Great barrier Reef, horse
riding, guided
rainforest walks, 4WD
safaris, seakayaking,
jungle
surfing, exotic
fruit tasting, crocodile
cruises, birdwatching
and fishing.
Ofcourse you can also take it easy, the town centre of Cape
Tribulation is within walking distance of your accommodation and
there are pristine unspoilt beaches to laze around, relax on your
verandah with the sounds of the rainforest birds, spot some of the
abundant wildlife, or explore the rainforest sculpture trail on
the five acre property.
We also have a fire place to dry things in the wet season and warm
us in the winter.
And thanks to ever improving technology we now have free Wifi through
a satellite dish!

Cape Tribulation is situated in
the heart of the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park, 70
km. north of Port Douglas, 146 km. north of Cairns, and is an absolute
must-do on the list of Cairns
vacation ideas.
Door to door bus services drop off at most Cape Tribulation accommodation
and any normal car can make the journey as the road north of the
Daintree river is now sealed all the way to Cape Tribulation, and
with the completion of the Cooper Creek bridge in 2011 we now have
year-round all-weather access!
This is the perfect place to get away from it all, Cape Tribulation is not really a town but a settlement in a wilderness area by the beach with only about eighty permanent residents, twenty houses, a couple of accommodation places, a few restaurants and two small shops.
Rainforest Hideaway is not just yet another
accommodation place or resort.
It is small, quiet, casual, and managed by its owner who has virtually
single-handedly built the entire place over the last 20 years
and there are usually no more than four guests.
Having travelled the world himself for many years and seen many
standard accommodation places to stay he wanted to create something
unique and homely and (according to the comments in the guest
book), it has been succesful.
If you are not convinced yet that this is the most memorable Daintree
and Cape Tribulation accommodation then please have a look
at some photos to get a feel of the place or read some guest reviews.
